Did’nt get a great harvest, but the handfull of plants from April this year did supply eneough for both carving and eating.
Perhaps added too much chillie flake to the spiced soup but ill know for next time. Still really tasty though.
Its been a while since I posted any updates on our second allotment which is now in full leaf. Some things are struggligng hrough. The Pears are taking time to establish, but hopefully with time they will develop and maybe fruit in a year or two.
I’ve managed to sow the tomatoes really ealry this year. They did take time to germinate and have been potted-on into 3″ pots. I’ll give them one more week before putting them into the final large pots to grow for ths year.
As ever I’ll be able to give some of these away. I have found that 21 plants in the greenhouse is a good number. Anymore than this and I’m always hit with greenfly and other pests.
